It's Summer and it's going fast.

Earlier, Brent sang with a community choir in Viroqua. Great concert. He was one of the soloist, very lovely. He is currently in Minneapolis area, working as an intern. He will be back in school in the fall. Sheri has gotten soooo tall this past year.

We can't believe we are in the post-fair period of the summer. Of course, the County fair used to be in August, then late July. Now it is just after the 4th.
We have been spending all the time we can working on our basement. The entire middle 30" has to be empty of everything. We are close. Then the carpenters, Sharon's husband Dave and Dave's brother, begin the work of building the walls for the bathroom, kitchen area and an end wall so there is a living room, family room for my parents. They are hoping to be moving at the beginning of September. Wish us luck!

Winter sports with cows.

Sandi- home for the weekend from the new job!- and Sheri got some ice time in and had a little curious company. The ice was rough, could this be why?
Sheri has a skating date with school at an arena tomorrow, she is really looking forward to it. So much less weather. And the ski trip was a great success, Kristina said it was awesome.

It's 2008!

Time to think about another new year. For me always a time to think positively about the possibilities for the next 365 days, so many days to do something new, different, better...
For example, how about getting the downstairs more like an efficiency apartment, before you need it? Or this might be the year to extend the deck around the house, and doesn't a carport size space under it sound the a good idea? Of course, then there are the things like getting in better shape or taking a trip, and though it seems unbelievable- we will be having our 30th wedding anniversary. Seems like most of those year flew.
And then there are also things like how to adjust this farming we do, and there is my job! What to do about that.
So here's to 2008! Let's see what there is to say in Dec. Let's hope and pray for a wonderful year.
