?!?!

You know those days when it feels like your mood is all over the map, like you just don't know why you're so cranky, or happy, because there is no foundation for it? Well since I started school it seems to be like that everyday! Everyday I get on the bus and I'm cranky, and I only get more cranky with the bus ride. But when I get to school I don't snap at anyone, my mood just goes down. And by the end of the day, even though I'm really tired and my brain has shut down, I'm always super-happy when I get home? What's up with that? It's all very confusing. This morning I've got a chilly stone in my stomach like I'm nervous, but for what?!? Is it possible this is all just teenage stuff and with all the stress of starting school and bunch of crazy teenage hormones got dropped on me? Gosh, I hope not, I hope the rest of high school isn't like this.

A Feast To Behold

So yesterday my Mom and I spent the entire day cleaning the house. We didn't EVER turn on the TV. We were cleaning because my mother had invited my boyfriend's family over to a barbecue. I thought it would cool to make it kinda fancy so I cooked up one of my "magazine recipes" and wore a skirt. It was a blast. After I had stuff my stomach and my cheeks to capacity I popped in Sweeney Todd (which I had never seen before). Wow. It's quite the movie. It's so cherry pie filling and red goo, it's hilarious!! Then my brother and I argued over the special features on whether Tim Burton looked more like Nicholas Cage or Steve Carell. Totally Nicholas Cage, by the way. Great night!

Mosquitos Are Awful

What exactly is the point of a mosquito? They don't do anything but turn into little greedy vampires and fill bites in your skin with an itchy poison, and then they drink your blood! Mosquitos spread disease and infection! West Nile! Malaria! And if you are so stupidly audacious as to even think about going outside when it is less than 100 degrees, you will get eaten alive!
My sister loves to run and wanted so badly to run 13 miles because she had opted out on running a half marathon race and was regretting it. So she goes running and I go biking at 7:30 in the morning and apparently the mosquitoes needed to let us know that Little Haney Rd. is THEIR territory and no one shall dare trespass on it!!
When I do get mosquito bites I am famous for scratching at them so much that I destroy the skin on my ankles and feet. It's awful. The only thing that works is Aveeno anti-itch gel spray. WHICH IS GONE!!!! So I am in agony and want to take a trip to Walmart and never leave the house again. Only to go to the car...and the clothesline...and...maybe the barn. But nowhere else!!!
Got it!! Okay so that would be a little impossible for me, but let's make it clear that mosquitoes are the most worthless living breathing things on the planet!! So when you hear a buzzing in your ear make sure that the mosquito that made it is dead. I, personally will be killing all the mosquitoes I can get my hands on.

Why I Will Never Be A Farmer

I love cows. Cows are pretty much my favorite animal, they're great pets, and extremely lovable. BUT I hate birthing. It's pretty much the most disgusting part of living on a farm. Today, I just happened to be the only other person in the barn to help my dad when this cow was supposed to calve. Now, this wasn't a cute little hair covered calf, this calf was deformed. Of course it was dead and if it had been alive when we pulled it, it wouldn't have lived for long. It had no hair, no muscled, no lips (cows have lips), and it's hooves were not like any other hooves I have ever seen. So, pretty much a sucky morning. I hope the day only gets better.
Just to make sure, I might just call up Miss Sydney Wilkins!!! Maybe we can go see "Eat Pray Love"!! But it would probably have to be with my mother and my sister. Anyway, ya'll have a nice day now! See ya!

Just LIke A Big Girl

So you know I mentioned that the farm I live on was teetering on the edge of remaining a farm? Well, today Helen, Merriam, Mary, Brent, Dad, and I all went up to La Crosse and saw a big ol' fancy lawyer about "the partnership". That's my dad, my aunt and my uncle. Anyway, I sat there and tried really hard not to let my eyes glaze over and actually understand what I was hearing for TWO HOURS!!! It was hard. BUT I actually did understand it enough to ask a perfectly reasonable question that no one else thought of! Other than that I kept my mouth shut and took amazing notes. (which if any of my family members are reading I would be happy to type up and email them) I even dressed like a big girl! In my shnazzy new dark wash jeans!! From what I gleaned from the conversation, the farm is in no danger of being taken by the government IF one of the partnership members lands in a nursing home. And it should fairly easy for my father to leave his 1/3 of the farm to his children (I and my siblings). YAY! Huge weight off everyone's shoulder's. Now we are all going to go to the movies for a celebration. See ya later!
